Kitchen Garden Tour & Lunch – 18th October

At the heart of John Barber’s exceptional cuisine are the ingredients grown in our kitchen garden, just metres away from the restaurant.

Our kitchen gardener, Lucy Hawkins, has been developing the one-acre plot using the ‘no-dig’ method for just over a year now, and the fertile, organic space is a must-see for those with an interest in horticulture and home-grown produce.

On Wednesday the 18th of October, you can join Lucy for a guided walk and forage in the garden, followed by a seasonal three-course lunch – prepared by our head chef – using ingredients she has grown and harvested.

During this one-off, special tour you’ll get the opportunity to ask Lucy questions, get your hands dirty, and see how the garden is supplying John with the ingredients he needs to create delicious soil-to-plate cuisine.

As well as sampling some of the produce at lunch, you will also get to take home a basket of organic vegetables of your own.
